The Mishna in Avos (5;21) Ben Ba'ag Ba'ag says in reference to the Torah "turn it over and turn it over as everything is in it, and it will (show you the way)".

There are a number of explanations to this well-known Mishna which states that through delving deeper and deeper into the Torah one will find everything contained within.

Our Sages say that G-d "Looked into the Torah and Created the world" the Torah was the primordial blueprint of everything in this world and therefore it must contain the deepest understanding of everything in existence.

In a more practical sense though, the Torah is the guide to life. Everything that happens or we do in life is from G-d and He wants us to act or react in a specific way in each situation. Therefore, there is really nothing the we do/say/act or feel that the Torah doesn't have an opinion about. Although not everything is written explicitly as there are almost infinite possibilities of what could happen or what a person may do in life, making it impossible to write everything that would happen to every person. Nevertheless with a deep understanding of the Torah a person can come closer to understanding what does the Torah, which is just a revelation of G-d's Will, truly want from us. This doesn't mean that G-D wants us to ignore professionals and experts and not take their advice, but if we should be taking their advice we should understand that this is what the Torah dictates to us to do. When we take each step of our lives' with this understanding we can truly live with G-d and His Torah.

Shabbat Shalom,

Heath
