In this week's parsha (in Israel) Moshe tells Hashem that "You asked me to carry this nation in my breast." The problem is that we never see Moshe being commanded by Hashem to "carry the people." Rav Yerucham, one of the leading rabbis in Yeshivat Mir in (pre-war Europe), explained that Moshe Rabbenu was on a great spiritual level, he had the ability to uphold and carry the entire nation due to his spiritual strength. Rav Yerucham explained that possessing those G-d given talents was itself Hashem's commandment to him.
This means that each person needs to look into their G-d given talents, what has G-d given them to work with in this world. Those talents are G-d's commandment for us to use them, otherwise He would not have given them to us. If we don't properly use those talents then we are ignoring G-d's specific commandment to us.
Shabbat Shalom,
Heath
