In this week's parsha we read about Moshe Rabbeinu's supplications before G-d to allow him to enter into Eretz Yisroel. Even though G-d had already Decreed that Moshe would not enter the Land of Israel we nevertheless find that Moshe prayed to be allowed in. Ultimately Hashem did not grant Moshe's request but we can learn a very important lesson. Moshe was the greatest prophet to ever live, he was aware of the way that G-d directs the world and he obviously understood that even though there was a decree from G-d that he should not enter Eretz Yisroel there was still a possibility to overturn this decree through prayer. We are all faced with challenges in life some more and some less. In some cases we may feel that everything is going against us, things are just not working out the way we want them to. No matter what the situation is, we normally don't know that there is a heavenly "decree" against what we want. In Moshe's case though G-d communicated to him that there was a  decree and we see that he still continued to pray. This means no matter what the situation is, no matter how bleak things seem, we should not stop praying for salvation and help.

Shabbat Shalom may we see the rebuilding of Zion!
