There is a fascinating story that occurred this week which you probably read about but I think we can learn an amazing lesson from.

In 2017, there was a hack of a crypto currency exchange in which millions of dollars worth of Bitcoin were stolen. There were numerous people who lost money when the bitcoin was stolen. This past week the US government found a couple who were involved with the hack and were able to recover a large amount of the stolen bitcoin. The value of the bitcoin appreciated 60x from the time when it was stolen. If the money is successfully returned each person will receive a sizable profit : ) I would assume with the volatile price of bitcoin over the past 5 years many of those people would have already sold their holdings years ago. The thieves basically "helped" these people keep their bitcoin invested and allowed them to realize a sizable return!

What kind of lesson can we learn from this? Imagine if we were one of the victims at the time, how would we have felt? How many times are we faced with disappointments in life? How many times do things not go as we had planned or hoped for? How many times has our "bitcoin" been stolen? We need to remember that there is a bigger plan, a plan from Above, which is only for our own ultimate good. This may look bad initially but there is always a hidden purpose that we don't see which is for our own good.

Shabbat Shalom,

Heath
