This Shabbas we will start reading the Torah from the beginning from Bereishis, the creation of the world. This Shabbas represents a new beginning for the entire Jewish People. After the events of the last shabbas and the scope of the calamity that befell our People, we are at the start of a new beginning. The way we view ourselves within the world and the way in which the world views us has changed dramatically. Our assumptions and worldviews have been challenged and upended; it presents an awakening for every Jew across the spectrum.
But just as we will read that the world was created entirely by Hashem we will see that this too is entirely in the hands of G-d. New beginnings are always scary but it provides us with a higher level of clarity into the truth essence of the world in which we live.
May Shabbas provide our nation and people with rest and comfort.
Shabbat Shalom,
Heath
