In this week's Parsha we read how Yosef was elevated and became the viceroy of Egypt. Yosef went through tremendous ups and downs from being the favorite son, to being sold into slavery, to becoming once again the most prestigious and trusted servants, to prison, and finally to the viceroy.

We find that the brother's as well when they went down to Egypt to buy food during the famine, they too were faced with many trials and tribulations which were so to speak masterminded by Yosef himself. These stories are juxtaposed and it teaches us an important lesson. The same way that the Torah describes how Yosef was orchestrating the entire episode with his brothers, so too the entire rollercoaster journey that Yosef experienced in his life was orchestrated from Above for the benefit of the Jewish People.

We are all in the middle of our own journeys and although many times we think things are not in control at all, the truth is everything is being orchestrated from Above and going as planned.

Chanuka Sameach and Shabbat Shalom,

Heath
