There is an unbelievable story which circulated earlier this week in our neighborhood and eventually worldwide. In a weekly shiur (class), that the Chief Rabbi of the Old City of Jerusalem HaRav Avigdor Nevenztal gives on Saturday night. He was asked by the students to daven for a Jewish man in Iran who was sentenced to death by hanging. The Rav responded that "this is not the first time the Persians (modern day Iran) wanted to hang a Jewish man and in the end their leader was killed instead and that things will be ok".

In the end less than 24 hours later the Jewish man's execution was postponed, G-d Willing for good, and the president of Iran (YM"S) was killed in a helicopter crash.

We find many times that the power of the words of our great Rabbis even when utter in passing can have a major impact. The Talmud relates many similar stories and this modern day example shows us this as well.

The Divine Providence in this incident as well is striking. This evil wicked man who tried just one month ago tried to destroy the Jews in Israel through an unprecedented missile attack, who minutes before the crash swore again to destroy us, was killed. Not the Mossad or anyone else succeeded in killing him but  G-d alone without any hands of man aiding the effort eliminated our enemy.

May these words be a merit for the refuah shelaima of Miriam bas Gittel.

Shabbat Shalom,

Heath

May we see the destruction of all enemies.
