NHBZ 2026 Campaign

Dear Friends,
In a few days time, we will celebrate the festival of Shavuot, where we commemorate and re-experience the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai.
The experience at Sinai was a moment of almost unparalleled unity. Our sages tell us that when the Jewish people camped at Sinai, that they became “כאיש אחד בלב אחד” – like one man with one heart. At the same time, Rabbi Shlomo Luria, the great 16th century Polish Rabbi, writes that when the people heard Hashem’s voice, they each heard it a little differently, each person according to their individual talents, background, and personality.
At Nusach Hari B’nai Zion, we are a Shul, and a cohesive community. We pray together, we study Torah together, we perform Mitzvot together, we commemorate lifecycle events together, and we experience programs together. At the same time, we strive to create a warm environment that makes each individual feel important, and that they matter. We try our best to meet the unique needs of each person, to engage each individual where they are, and to cultivate each individual’s personal connection to Torah.
Yesterday, we began our annual campaign for 2026. We are collecting to ensure that we can continue being the wonderful community that we are. Please consider donating generously to further our ongoing prayer services, Torah classes, special programs, events, youth programs, and to provide ongoing security at our events and services. We would also like to thank those that have already contributed.
May we continue to go from strength-to-strength,
Rabbi Rubin
